During 8 months 12 ETH students developed a 4-seated airplane with modular battery system as a so called focus project. The first focus project started in september 2020 and is called "project alpha". Since summer 2021 the new project H2 is ongoing.
The airplane is based on a Sling TSi, which has been adapted for electrification. With its modular battery system, e-Sling will be covering a range of about 200km.
E-sling provides seats for four passengers
The modular battery system can accumulate up to 50kWh of energy
The built-in electric motor has a peak power of 110kW
Thanks to the modified wings, e-Sling can fly up to 200km
